Blackwell Grange – Rustic and romantic

The extensively renovated buildings, now provide a quintessentially rustic and romantic place to get married. Arriving at the venue you’re immediately struck, not just by the beauty, but the history and heritage the venue brings. The delightful Thatch Barn is a charming, imposing and yet picturesque venue. Inside the local stone barn, are towering ceilings, with chandeliers artistically situated between ancient beams. The searing oak beams and the soft sandstone floor, brings a touch of Cotswold magic to the proceedings.

The harmonious blend the abundant natural materials of the area – the stone, the wooden beams, the glorious green landscape, and blue skies married with the late spring blossom and early summer flowers to create an ideal setting. Rianna and Nicolas were married in the Thatch Barn – a perfect setting of such ceremonies. With guests arranged down the length of the barn, the bride and groom assembled before the delightful pink and pastel blooms arranged on the table, adding a creatively colourful touch to the soothing earthy tones of the barn itself. The bride looked stunning, in her flowing dress by Warwickshire based True Romantic Bridal.

With the floor to ceiling windows in the barn itself, light poured into the barn and the happy couple got to say their I Dos as everyone looked on. The peaceful barn manages to be both romantic, grand, intimate, and perfect – all in one!

A joyous celebration of a fantastic couple.

Before it was time for food, it was time to enjoy some drinks and some wonderful entertainment from Leicestershire based Brad Matthews. Brad’s musical accompaniment to the day’s celebration hit all the right notes. Brad’s amazing vocal and experienced and skilled ability to engage with an audience, added an extra sparkle and spot of magic to the already enchanting day. Guests mingled, laughed, and embraced the warmth and love of the occasion as they did so.

The speeches are always a high (and terrifying) point in all meals and this was no exception. The variety of speech styles was heartily embraced by all who were there. Equally as popular was the food itself which was as perfect as the setting!

Brad was on hand after the meal too as the first dance took place. He was able to sing as the newlyweds danced away with friends and family looking on. As the sun dipped behind the horizon and the lights all came on, Brad swapped into DJ mood and started to entertain all with those irresistible hits that make you just want to dance! The party sprit was well and truly in full flow, as the dancefloor filled with everyone ensuring that the evening would end as it had been all day – a joyous celebration of a fantastic couple.
