A Beautiful Ceremony in the Tudor Barn at Bordesley Park

The weather in October can be very unpredictable. The day started gloomy and I had fears it could go from bad to worse. Thankfully, the sun had other ideas and soon the weather improved to such a degree that the arriving guests were able to get drinks and mingle on the terrace outside, replete with refreshment vans – cocktails being a huge hit in the Autumnal air!

Normally, venues provide a lovely space for the Bride and her party to get ready, whilst the groom has to find his own space to stay busy until the ceremony, but at Bordersley Park, both bride and groom were well attended to. The groom and his party enjoyed their own space with a pool table and table tennis whilst the bride and her party got ready for the ceremony in their dedicated space. The ceremony was held in the characterful and charismatic Tudor barn. A truly historic and engaging place in which to say I do, with far reaching views over unchanged, historic countryside. Light cascaded into the beautiful space, through the floor to ceiling windows at one end, picking out the historic beams and the smiles on everyone’s faces.

Autumn Warmth and Outdoor Joy

The reception was to be held in the glorious marquee situated within the venue grounds, surrounded by manicured lawns, with far reaching views. A bright airy space with its abundance of striking flower arrangements, was an ideal setting for everyone to come together to celebrate. The meal was as much of a success as the speeches and before no time at all, the bride and groom were together cutting the cake, to whoops and cheers all around.

The kindness of the weather meant that after the meal there was scope to enjoy the space outdoors, including a bouncy castle for the children. Guests were delighted to be able to enjoy some Autumnal warmth as they chatted, as the entertainment started to get even hotter – with a DJ enticing everyone onto the delightful, raised dancefloor, under a sky of twinkling lights. The party continued for some time, but not before the bride and groom were able to dance their way outside down a path of guests all waving sparklers in the air, to help round off a truly magical day.

Some kind words from the couple

“From our very first conversation, I knew choosing Tommy was the right decision. His communication was excellent and everything felt organised and stress-free. On the wedding morning he brought a calm, reassuring presence and blended in perfectly with guests. Nothing ever felt staged. When we received our photos, I was overwhelmed – stunning, emotional and timeless images that truly relived our day. I couldn’t recommend Tommy highly enough.”
