A Picture-Perfect Spring Wedding
The setting is perfection. Exclusive use venue that is entirely private and surrounded by the most glorious trees, gardens, flowers and the like. The grounds are not just extensive but also flanked by the Grand Union Canal that delivers a dose of rustic charm to this idyllic wedding setting.
Stuart and Rebecca were not only blessed to have found each other but also by the glorious weather that graced their March wedding day. As the daffodils danced in the sunshine and the early blossoms flourished, the magnificent magnolia trees bloomed in and around the grounds, creating an enchanting scene. There could be no better backdrop for a couple ready to say, ‘I do.’
The day itself was one of jitters and joy! As guests gathered in the sun-bathed courtyard for drinks, the bride and groom were getting ready for the big moment!
Unforgettable Moments at Dodmoor House’s Intimate Courtyard Barn
The impressively intimate and traditional Courtyard Barn is the warm setting for Stuart and Rebecca’s ceremony. The exposed brick, the sweeping window arches allowing a wealth of natural light and the historic beams above, created a calm and joyful setting for them to exchange their vows.
The proceedings moved through to the equally impressive oak floored Catesby Barn with it’s towering beams. A galleried landing with a sign illuminating the word love, provided the ideal backdrop for the bride and groom to arrive for the reception. The evening entertainment was also housed within the Catesby Barn, with suitably playful but atmospheric lights, it helped round the day off with a feeling of happiness and love.
As the night fell there was still time for the bride and groom to parade through their guests, gleefully lit sparklers dancing against the night’s sky. They were also able to take full advantage of the house’s delightfully illuminated façade as a stunning backdrop to their very special day. It was a picturesque end to a beautifully happy day within the Northamptonshire countryside.
