Hanbury Barns
Mr & Mrs Steeden
- Hanbury Barns, Staffordshire
Luke and Amy chose the spectacular Hanbury Barns in which to get married. I’d never been here before, but I was blown away as soon as I arrived. This Staffordshire venue sits within the National Forest and is surrounded by picture perfect views. I was spoilt for choice when it comes to photo opportunities, which is why we were able to get such a great variety of shots.
Emotional Moments and Rustic Charm at Hanbury Barns, Staffordshire
Amy and Luke are a really lovely couple, so this venue seemed like an ideal fit for them. They are both warm, welcoming and wonderful, so when I wandered around the venue, it was an obvious fit for them both.
As soon as I arrived to capture the bride’s party getting ready for the big day, it was obvious we were in for a glorious day. Although the clouds outside threatened to spoil proceedings, I knew that indoors there was nothing but warmth. Thankfully, the clouds got the hint and broke to reveal the sunshine which helped provide an ideal setting for Amy’s dress reveal to her dad. Always an emotional moment and an a truly special one to share.
The ceremony was set within the beautifully restored ceremonial barn. This delightfully beamed barn, with exposed brick was a relaxed and natural setting for the big moment. After the groom’s party made quite the entrance and danced down the aisle, it was time for the big event. Luke looked blown away seeing Amy in her wedding dress and tears were shed all around as they exchanged their vows.
From Heartfelt Speeches to a Packed Dancefloor in the Wedding Barn
The sun had truly made an appearance as they made their way from the barn outdoors to be celebrated with confetti and cheers from the family and friends all around. It also allowed us a chance to get some more amazing photos! The reception was to be held in the light, bright Wedding Breakfast Barn. The wall of windows at one end allowed the sunshine to beam through and illuminate this gloriously airy space.
The speeches kept to the day’s themes being energetic, emotional and warmly welcomed. There were smiles, laughs and a few more tears shed as speakers shared their feelings about the couple and their special day.
The evening’s entertainment capped off a fantastic day. The DJ made sure that almost everyone was up and on the floor, giving it their all, to a wide variety of tunes. The happy couple danced with their guests, the sun shone and it felt like a perfect end to a perfect day.

Some kind words from the couple
“We honestly couldn’t recommend Tommy enough. From the first chat he was friendly, organised and really put us at ease. He helped plan timings and even visited the venue beforehand. On the day he was calm, professional and never intrusive. He captured so many genuine moments we didn’t even notice at the time. When we received our photos, we were blown away – every image is stunning and full of emotion.”
