Hothorpe Hall – Unique forest setting

Nestled in this fairy tale woodland is the location for Avril and Rich’s magical September wedding. The weather was kind, with blue skies and a warmth that makes early autumn just so wonderful. Thankfully all of the trees were still in an abundance of green and the various colours popped against this backdrop to help create a perfect location to get married outdoors.

The ceremony itself was enveloped by nature. Birds singing, the sun shining through the trees, creating patterns of dappled light across the guests who were seated in rows on wooden benches. In front of them was the grand, wooden ceremonial wedding pillared platform from where the ceremony would take place.

Amongst the resounding beauty of nature, Avril and Rich were married. Their friends and family looking on with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts. The floral touches in pinks and whites by Warwickshire based, Your Big Day Events added a splash of delicate colour to the woodland setting.

The extensive decked patio area in the venue was the ideal backdrop to a wedding reception. As guests mingled outside, the happy couple made their way around chatting to their guests as the sun continues to shine and the gentle rustle of the trees bathed the occasion in a calm, serene vibe that only a truly natural event can create.

Everlasting Memories

When the time came to move indoors for the meal, it felt like a seamless transition. Although everyone moved indoors, the floor to ceiling windows and doors that dotted the perimeter of the room meant that there was plenty of natural light cascading inside. The warmth of the sun and the room meant that it offered both a tranquil and relaxing place to dine but also one of great warmth. A feeling that continued with the emotional and well received speeches.

The food was a triumph. The guests enjoyed the exquisite but hearty fare that was offered. As the wine was sipped and the sun crept lower in the sky, the curtain was drawing down upon a wonderful day.

The celebrations were far from over, however, with the Leicestershire DJ Dancefloor DJs ready to keep the mood up and the feet busy on the dance floor!

As the light began to fade outside, the warmth shone through. Whether it was the large, illuminated LOVE signs, the fairy lights dotting about the external patio of the room full of delighted. Happy and satisfied guests – it was a special place to be.
