Mythe Barn – Jodie & Peter’s sunny wedding

Arriving at the venue that is nestled slap bang on the Warwickshire, Leicestershire border, the first thing that struck me was just how much effort they had both made transforming an already amazing venue into something next level! They had employed the services of Staffordshire based Moo and Bro events to help with the activities and the vibe of the day.

The extensive and beautifully kept lawns were dotted with a variety of oversized family favourite games which I knew were going to prove a hit with children and adults alike. Especially on such a sunny day.

Appropriately for such a hot Summer’s day, the couple’s flowers of choice from the Staffordshire based Perfect day wedding flowers were delightful roses. The reds and whites of the flowers around the venue and held by the bride and her bridal party were stunning. The bride’s exquisite bouquet was sensational and contrasted against her shimmering white dress – looked picture perfect.

The ceremony was hosted in the Oak barn. The double-height solid oak frame and floor-to-ceiling windows allowed the summer sun to pour in and warm the space and everyone’s hearts. With white and red rose petals creating a defined aisle and the rustic hops hung from the beams – there couldn’t be a more classic country atmosphere.

The sunbathed gardens were a hive of activity

Formal photos were taken in the ample gardens around the barn. The landscaped gardens provided a perfect setting for bride and groom photos. The cultured and structural gardens, decorative planting and landscaping provided multiple places to capture those special moments of the newlyweds.

The sunbathed gardens were a hive of activity as giant Jenga, Connect-4, noughts and crosses and many more started to captivate everyone’s attention. Guests mingled and played a variety of traditional games super-sized for the garden fun. There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained as the sun shone, the drinks were poured, and laughter and love filled the place.

The meal was held in the Grain Store and was a huge hit! Chandeliers and Sheers hung from the ceiling, creating a lavish, but informal and intimate space. With the roses decorating each table – especially that of the bride and groom, it exuded a country summer wedding with a lot of charm!

The cake cutting was a particular hit. The nearly ‘naked’ two tier cake was supplemented by brownies and blondies that proved to be a huge hit! Staffordshire based The Real Cake Company proved to be the perfect choice judging by the positive noises and comments made after the cakes were shared around!

The evening’s entertainment was again in the barn and enabled a lot of space for everyone to mingle, dance and enjoy such a wonderful day together. The bride had especially asked for a sunset shot, so as the guests danced and chatted, we sneaked out to get just that! Luckily the weather was happy to play along with us and we were able to get a sensational sundown shot.

It was the perfect way to end such a wonderful day!
